Mary Pat is a self-taught artist who loves to make things from items people normally throw away. Mary Pat's quirky fondness for trash started at the ripe old age of four, when she and her mother cleaned a littered alley in their small home town. To put a roof over her head and feed Winston, her eternally-hungry pooch, she works as executive director of Keep the Midlands Beautiful.
Mary's other passion - trash to treasure - keeps her hands and mind busy the rest of the time. Mary Pat thanks her sister/roommate, Beth, for putting up with the junk around the house and all of the marketing assistance, and her mother for turning her on to trash and believing in her wacky ideas.
